A Major Award

2009 was a big year.

Big Deal Moments for the Haymoops of 2009:

Family
1. We had Lincoln
(Look at this little shrimp! New babies are so boney! It's hard to believe that that little thing is my big boy. Wow.)

2. We moved into our first 2 bedroom apartment

3. Got our first washer and dryer thanks to Mom and Dad Haymore. (AWESOME STORY: one weekend Mom and Dad Haymore came to visit. We figured we'd pick up a washer and dryer we had decided to get from Craig's List that weekend because we could use their car to haul it. Steven and his dad drive out to get it, and enter The Deep South, complete with lots 'o' double wides and confederate flags. When they pull up to designated spot, the guy comes roaring up in his Caterpillar and proceeds to pick up a rusted beat up washer from his front yard WITH THE DANG CLAW THING and gets ready to dump it onto the trailer. "What about that rust?" Steven asks. "Oh, that?" He replies, like he didn't see it. "That'll wipe right off." Steven's dad Doug looks at Steven and says, "I don't think Amanda wants that washer." The next day they took us to the Sears Outlet and picked us out the most beautiful washer and dryer I have ever seen.

4. Did something to embarrass Lincoln in the future. 3. Celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary (I know, sounds so puny and lame, but we have been a couple (officially and unofficially) since the end of 2003)
4. Became Southern

Steven
1. Was the teacher's pet in his clerkship this summer

2. Secured an awesome job for this summer in Florida

3. Didn't kill any Scouts for the 3 months he was the Cub Master

4. Made Law Review!

Amanda
1. Gained 40 pounds- yes, a BIG moment
(Steven, me and my pregnant glory, and my cute brother Dustin, about a week before Lincoln was born)

2. Lost 40 pounds

3. Made something crafty
4. Learned more about photography

Lincoln
1. Decorated his crib (numerous times)

2. Learned to sit up

3. Learned to eat solids


What a great year! Can't wait for the adventures of 2010.
