Easter was wonderful and I am so grateful we had special people to spend it with. Not only for the company, but getting together for Easter dinner insured we ate delicious food instead of haphazardly prepared "experiments".
Steven and I are learning that our grand expectations for fun events and holidays need to simmer down. Most things we think Lincoln is going to LOVE end up being overwhelming for either him or us. For example, we were stoked to decorate eggs with Lincoln. But all Lincoln wanted were the little Easter stickers that come with the box. He cried and cried after using all those up. Once we got him to start dunking the eggs in the dye he got really into it and slam dunked each egg into the glass bowls with gusto, cracking the egg and making a big 'ol kersplash. Every deviled egg we ate this year was very colorful.
Lincoln's first Easter Egg Hunt went along the same lines. He grabbed one egg at a time and would not move on until he ate all the candy inside. He got through about 3 eggs before all of the other eggs had been claimed.

Although those things didn't turn out just as we had pictured, they still sure were fun.
On Easter Sunday, we had an amazingly delicious meal with Conrad, Bekah, Farrah, and Nick. We threw a few eggs out for Lincoln and Coen to hunt and they did pretty good.
